On Saturday, April 29th the sidewalks of Forsyth Park will come as SCAD students, alumni, and high school students create larger than life masterpieces entirely out of chalk at the 36th annual SCAD Sidewalk Arts Festival! The colorful festival runs from 10:00a.m. for 4:00pm, where teams will compete for prizes up to $1,500. This open-air “gallery” is a cannot miss event that locals and visitors look forward to every year. Take a look below at some of the past creations, and find the entire gallery at SCAD.edu.
Although civilians are not allowed to be judged for their creations, families are encouraged to bring their own chalk and participate in squares that are not being used for the event. This event is the perfect excuse to come downtown and enjoy Savannah in full bloom! Bring a picnic and camp out as you watch the creations come to life right in front of your eyes.
