“Food Trucks, Charity, Festivals …what more do you need?”
The Savannah Food Truck Festival is more than just that, it is an organizations that partners with charities and food trucks to help build the community and the food truck scene in Savannah all together. This Saturday June 4th in Daffin Park, the organization will be hosting Savannah Food Truck Festival No. 3. The free event lasts from 12 pm to 6:30 pm, with free yoga beginning at 10 a.m..
According a recent article from Do Savannah, some new features to the third installment of the Savannah Food Truck Festival include several new food trucks along with some boutique trucks and trucks for dogs, wine (along with craft beer sales), and a new charity project.
Food Truck Philanthropy
Food Truck Philanthropy is a new charity project that aims to provide disaster relief directly to the local community. This idea stemmed from Hurricane Matthew, when the organization came together to provide food to emergency responders and city leaders while the rest of the city was shut down.
Come for the Food, Stay for the Experience
The Food Truck Festival will have plenty of food trucks, forty in fact, but there will also be a craft beer garden with food pairings, live music, live art craft vendors, and activities for the kids! The dog friendly festival includes snacks for your pups and watering stations as well. There will also be a Savannah Clovers soccer game beginning at 5:00pm!
